Pickup Instructions:

After payment is made online through our website, winners will receive a notification email that the GPU is ready to pickup. Winners must bring their ID, which must match exactly the entry name.

(3/10) RX 9070 XT Raffle Announcement

Last week, we got and sold almost 300 Radeon RX 9070 GPUs. With demand so high, we are holding a raffle to give a bunch more people the chance to buy one without needing to spend a morning in line. 

This time, we have a batch of Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming cards, and will be raffling off the chance to buy one to 50 lucky winners! 

Entry Dates: Tuesday, 3/11 - Sunday, 3/16

We have designed this raffle with the rules below to make it harder for scalpers to win and to keep it as fair as possible for everyone.

Rules:

How to Enter

•  Entries must be made in person at any of our 5 Bay Area stores during business hours.

     ○ Entry Period: Tuesday 3/11, through Sunday 3/16 (store closing time, 5pm PST).

•  One (1) entry per person can be made, at only one (1) of our stores. Nobody may make an entry on behalf of someone else. Anyone who enters multiple times or on behalf of someone else will be disqualified from the raffle.

•  Must be 18 years or older to enter. 

•  Entry is free - no purchase required. 

•  The entry form will require you to fill in your name, email address, and phone number, as well as your preferred pickup store if you win. 

•  The entry name must match the 1) government-issued photo ID and 2) the name on the credit card/billing info being used to make the final purchase of the GPU. 

•  Employees of Central Computers, and their household members, are not allowed to enter the raffle.

•  We will draw winners and announce on Monday, 3/17. 

•  Winners will be randomly chosen from the pool of all qualified entries made in all 5 stores. 

•  Announcements will be online. No need to be present. 

Claiming Win, Paying For/Picking Up GPU

•  Winners will be contacted via the email provided in the entry. (Please check spam folder) 

•  Purchase link will be sent to the winners to complete the purchase online and pickup in one of our stores. 

•  Please be aware the name of the order MUST match the entry name. We will cancel any orders whose billing info does not match up with the name that was originally entered.  

•  Winners will have until Monday, 3/17@11:59PM to pay online. 

•  Winners will receive a confirmation email that the GPU is ready for pick up after payment is made. 

•  The name on the entry and purchase made must match the government-issued photo ID of the person paying and picking up. If paying with a credit card, the entry and ID names must match the name on the card.

Here is our current availability information:

      • AMD RX 9070 XT - We will have select models of the 9070 XT available for standalone sale on launch day, as well as physical in-store inventory for local customers.

      • AMD RX 9070 - The RX 9070 will not be available on launch day, however, we expect some to arrive within the following weeks after launch.

Here are some of our current pre-configured offerings that allow you to select either an AMD RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT as your GPU. All you need to do is place an order for your desired machine, and our technicians will have it ready in 4-5 days (non-XT RX 9070 will be ready towards the end of March).

Most models of the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT use 2x8-pin connectors, but it's important to note that certain models do use the newer 12VHPWR 16-pin connector. We highly recommend using ATX 3.1 PSUs with 12VHPWR 16-pin Power Cables to power your GPU if it uses a 12VHPWR 16-pin connection.

General Questions

When are the AMD RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPUs launching?

The official launch date is March 6 (Thursday) at 6AM PST. 

Please note that our physical store does not open until the typical opening time listed here. Our 6AM launch is just for the website.

Will Central Computers have any stock on launch day?

Yes! We will have some AMD RX 9070 XT graphics cards available for standalone sale on launch day. However, there will not be any non-XT RX 9070 cards until the following weeks.

Which brands of the RX 9000 series cards do you offer?

At the time of launch, we will have the ASRock cards listed at the top of this page available, but plan to stock cards from more brands in the following weeks and months as they become available.

What if I want a different brand that's not available?

If you're looking for a specific card on our website that's listed as out-of-stock, as long as the "Add-to-cart" button is still green, you can special order it; please keep in mind that this process can take a few days up to several weeks depending on vendor inventory levels for that card. If there is a specific model you want that is not listed on our website, feel free to contact us and let our staff know what card you're looking for. We'll try our best to procure it for you. 

Questions Regarding Purchase Policy

Can I pre-order any RX 9000 series video cards?

At this time, pre-orders are not available. However, you can sign up for stock alerts to be notified as soon as they go live.

Is there a purchase limit per customer?

We will be limiting RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPU purchases to 1 per customer for the time being.

Will the RX 9070 and 9070 XT be available in-store, or online?

Select RX 9070 XT models will be available on both our website for shipped orders and our physical storefront shelves. The RX 9070 will not be available until the following weeks after.

Will there be a raffle, queue system, or system build bundle restriction for the RX 9070 and 9070 XT?

There will be no raffle or queue system at the moment. As previously mentioned, these cards will be sold as standalone for the time being (including the 9070 XT's being sold during launch day/week), so there is currently no system bundle restriction.

Questions Regarding Compatibility/Technical Info

What power supply do I need for the 9000 series GPUs?

Please refer to the chart above for exact recommendations on PSU wattage. If the model you choose uses a 12VHPWR connection, we recommend pairing it with an ATX 3.1 power supply that has a 12VHPWR power connector.

Will the RX 9000 series GPUs work on my current motherboard?

As long as your motherboard has a PCIe gen 3.0 or 4.0x16 slot, yes! Technically, 2.0 will work, but that would cause severe performance bottlenecks. We recommend ensuring that your motherboard has a PCIe gen 4.0 slot, as we have seen increased utilization in gen 4.0 features with newer graphics cards, meaning that you might not get the full performance if your motherboard only has a 3.0 slot. 

Questions Regarding Returns & Warranty

Can I return a 9000-series video card?

Graphics cards can be returned within 14 days of purchase, but keep in mind that opened GPUs will incur a 15% restocking fee. Returns must include all original packaging, manuals, and accessories.

What if my GPU is defective?

Any cards that are proven to be defective within 30 days of purchase will be replaced with the same model. After 30 days, warranty claims must be handled by the customer through the manufacturer. 

Do you cover compatibility issues for returns?

No, compatibility issues are not covered under our return policy. Please ensure your system meets the GPU’s power and size requirements before purchasing. If you have any concerns or questions regarding compatibility with your current system, feel free to inquire with your local store locations' sales department, and make sure to have your PC part list ready for them to review with you!
