Physical characteristics

ZERO's surface has a light roughness that sits between the plush smoothness of TYPE-99 and the aggressive texture of HIEN. The rough knit polyester is easy to start moving on, and the weave provides crisp feedback as you decelerate, helping you settle onto targets without the pad fighting back. The 4 mm XSoft base is the plushest of ARTISAN's three base options. It sinks noticeably under pressure, giving maximum cushioning and the strongest press-in stopping power, at the cost of feeling slightly slower overall than the Soft. The anti-slip rubber underside keeps the pad firmly planted even during fast arm movements.
