NINJA FX TYPE-99

TYPE-99 is ARTISAN's dedicated control pad and the slowest cloth surface in their NINJA FX lineup. It uses a water absorbing, quick dry yarn that keeps the glide consistent through sweat and humidity, and the circular knit polyester surface provides maximum stopping power for low sensitivity players.

Physical characteristics

The top of the cloth has a plush, almost microfiber feel under your palm, which is a pleasant surprise given how grippy the surface actually is. The circular knit weave gives the pad its teeth, so starting a movement takes a small push and stopping is almost automatic. The 3 mm Mid base is firmer and thinner than the Soft, so it doesn't grab the skates as aggressively when you press in; stopping leans more on the surface itself, and the glide stays a touch faster and more consistent under pressure. Water absorbing, quick dry yarn keeps the feel consistent even during long sessions when your hands get sweaty.
